With this set from Eccellente, you can provide your coffee machine with a water filter that lasts for two months and you can descale twice!

If you don’t maintain your machine properly, chances are that limescale will eventually cause damage. Limescale is in the water you use to brew your coffee. Lime accumulates in the pipes of your DeLonghi coffee machine and causes blockages when not descaled in time. These blockages will prevent water from passing through your coffee machine’s pipes and eventually cause the machine to jam.

Fortunately, you can prevent all this with the Eccellente descaler and the Eccellente ECAM water filter for your DeLonghi coffee machine. The water filter ensures that impurities such as chlorine and lead are filtered out of the water. Limescale is also filtered out to a minimum level. The descaler removes any remaining limescale from your machine. If you use a water filter, you won’t need to descale as often. We therefore recommend descaling your DeLonghi coffee machine once every three months with Eccellente descaler.

Instructions

Descaler
Step 1. Pour 1 dose (100 ml) of descaler into the water reservoir.
Step 2. Add water till the max level of the water reservoir.
Step 3. Follow the directions in the manual of your DeLonghi coffee machine.
Step 4. After descaling, wash the water reservoir with clean tap water and rinse your machine.

Water filter
Step 1. Remove the water reservoir, discard any water and check that the reservoir is clean. 
Step 2. Place the water filter in the reservoir. Push it all the way in with a slightly rotating motion. 
Step 3. Fill the water reservoir with clean tap water and place it back in the machine. 
Step 4. Flush through the machine and discard the water.
